Chesapeake Energy Corporation
At Chesapeake, we care about the health and well being of all of our employees, and we make it a priority to design benefit programs and provide facilities that we think will help our employees succeed professionally and personally.
Facilities
Our 72,000-square-foot Fitness Center is a true example of our commitment to this effort. Located on our Oklahoma City campus, the Fitness Center is open to employees and their families and offers a wide range of recreational programs, group exercise and dance classes, cardio machines, weight rooms, basketball and racquetball courts, swimming pool, climbing wall, sand volleyball court and outdoor track. Because we have more than 10,000 employees working in 15 states across the country, we reimburse employees and their families outside of Oklahoma City the cost of monthly gym membership fees.
In addition, the Chesapeake Health Center, operated through a partnership with St. Anthony’s Hospital, provides on-site primary and urgent care, chronic disease management and full dental care for employees and their dependents. Those enrolled in the company’s medical insurance plan only pay a $5 co-pay for office visits.
Programs
We know that providing state-of-the-art facilities isn’t enough, and the needs of our diverse work force differ. We operate a number of our own award-winning programs such as Eating Well, Living Well, Pregnancy Wellness and Live Better Forever and continue to develop new programs. In 2010 we established the Your Life Matters campaign focused on important aspects of mental and physical health. In addition, we partner with a variety of third-party organizations to host educational Lunch and Learn seminars, smoking cessation programs and provide free membership with organizations such as Weight Watchers at Work.
